How It Works
Every engagement begins with a conversation. There is no pressure or obligation, just a chance to talk about what you're facing, what you're hoping for, and whether working together feels like a fit.
-
We can meet by phone, Zoom, or in person to talk about your situation, your wishes, and what kind of support would be most meaningful. This is your chance to ask me anything. Some people arrive uncertain while others have everything already thought through and just need a collaborator. There is no wrong place to start.
-
If we decide to work together, I take the time to understand the dying person's wishes as they enter the active dying process: who they want present, the atmosphere they want the space to hold, the music and rituals that matter to them, and what they most need to hear or say before they go. I also work with the family to understand their needs, so everyone feels supported—not just the one who is dying.
-
Before or after a patient is placed on hospice, I am available for check-ins, family conversations, advance care planning, legacy work, and emotional support. The nature of this support varies. Some families want frequent contact over weeks or months. Others call when something shifts and they need someone who has been here before. I follow your lead. And for those who arrive with a clear vision already formed, this is a collaboration, not a guided process.
-
I am there for the full threshold. I sit vigil, hold space, and stay in communion with the spirit world throughout. Active dying is the body's final phase, which can include breathing changes, periods of restlessness or stillness, decreased responsiveness, and a gradual withdrawal from the physical world as the person moves toward death. I guide families and loved ones through these changes as they happen, so nothing feels frightening or unknown. And I hold the spiritual dimension of what is unfolding in the room. This phase is different for every person and can last anywhere from a few hours to two weeks.
-
My support doesn't end at the moment of death. I stay present for the family through the immediate grief. For those who choose it, I prepare the body with tenderness and care. If the family wishes to hold a home funeral or vigil, I help guide that too.
Cost of My Services
Every family's needs are different, so pricing is worked out individually during your initial consultation rather than set in advance. That first conversation is always free.
For planning sessions, check-ins, or shorter-term support, I offer an hourly rate. For active dying support and midwife services, I work on a package rate which covers the full continuum of care, from vigil through the days that follow, and ensures I can be fully present without watching the clock during those hours that matter most.
I am available to travel worldwide, and travel expenses are included in your quoted rate.
I also offer sliding-scale pricing for families facing financial hardship. If cost is a concern, please ask. It won't change the care you receive.
My services include energy work (Space Attunement™, shamanic dowsing, Reiki) alongside traditional doula and midwifery support at no additional cost.
We'll talk through exactly what your family needs and build from there.
